"The Informer News” Newsletter - St. Peter published its first newsletter, The Informer News, under the leadership of Rev. John G. Davis.  The newsletter was staffed by the late Tom W. Hall, Advisor; Miriam Jones Evans, Editor; Russell S. Jones, Recreation Reporter; Jacqueline Y. Jones, Education Reporter; Margaret L. Jones, Church Reporter; and Johnny C. Jones, Retiree’s Reporter.


                  Church History Updates 2012 - 2024 

Other former and current church ministries, programs, and organizations include the Young People's Division, Debutante- Masters Commission, Musical Choir, Anointed Expressions Young Adult Choir, Sons of Allen,  Weekly Bible Study, Annual Summer Revival, Usher Board, Medical Team Ministry, Male Chorus, Voices of Victory Youth Choir, Spirit of Praise Mass Choir, Praise Dancers, Meals on Wheels Ministry, Health Awareness Ministry, Prayer Day Ministry, Family and Friends Day, Senior Citizens Day, Rainbow Tea Program, Harvest Tea Program, Music Ministry, Mother’s Day Celebration, Father’s Day Celebration, Social Media Ministry, Honors and Awards Ministry, Porch Ministry, Evangelism Ministry,  Youth Activity Committee, and Facebook Livestream Ministry.

 

Young People’s Division (YPD) - The church is proud to have had two of its members, Sis. Delphine Hook Scott and Sis. Latrice Wright, appointed as District Level YPD Directors. The church’s first Local YPD Director of memory was the late Sis. Vertell Mintz Lykes who served under the leadership of The Late Rev. Cupid C. Shaw. Under their leadership, Sis. Delphine Hook Scott was selected as the Local YPD President who was later appointed Local YPD Director of the church by The Late Rev. Joseph Seawright.  She was then appointed as the Wateree District YPD Director by The Late Elder Benjamin P. Boston.  Local YPD Directors for the church since that time included Sister Marilyn Gladden Mickens, Sister Thawaunda Harley, and Sister Latrice Wright.  Sis. Wright was appointed as the Wateree District YPD Director under the leadership of Rev. Wanda Rapley. Sis. Thawaunda Harley and Sis. Latrice Wright both served as Local YPD Presidents before becoming Directors. YPDers are active on Youth Sundays when they sing and lead the Order of Service.  Current 2024 YPD President:  Miss Destinee’ Scott.   Current 2024 Local YPD Director: Sis. Roeberyl Harley.



​Annual Turkey Giveaway Ministry – Our church has been blessed to be a blessing to our church members and the citizens of North, SC for the past eight (8) years!! Thanks to a very generous donor, we have been instrumental in issuing $25 certificates to the Town of North citizens since November 22, 2015. These Turkey Giveaway Certificates have assisted hundreds of families in having an even better and blessed Thanksgiving meal. We thank God for this blessing.  Current 2024 Turkey Giveaway Coordinator: Sis. Gloria K. Moore.
